Baby Gaga

Last week, on a Brazilian TV Show called "Qual é o seu talento", it´s the local version of "America´s got talent", was shown the performance of a little girl, the 8-year old Laura Montana ( What?)and became an instant hit, here and across the World ( as some says). I only watched that in the next day, when a friend showed me that and indeed the child has talent, she sung in English, a good one by the way and danced, of course she is just a kid but you know, TV audience loves those gifted kids and so the host and the jury and that mad me wonder: This children exposition/exploitation is really health for the children and for us?

I know without it, we didn´t have names such as Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Leonardo De Caprio the Olsen twins and many others but I think a young kid has to be one, without worries, without those endless hours of rehearsals, exposition to the masses, paparazzis and all what comes with fame. What this exposition might bring for this young girl in the future? I´m not this kid´s parents (thank God) and I really don´t care about it, at all, after all, it´s good for all parts, the TV station will gain audience with her performance so money in the pocket, the parents, will fulfill their dreams of being famous or at least have a famous kids so, money in the pocket and the kid, which I´m not sure if it´s the case, will have her dose of fame and spotlight so, money in the others´pocket.

Maybe, when Lady Gaga comes to Brazil, in May, she can meet her young version and who knows, take the kid to be part of her tour, to open her shows or even sing bad Romance, a duet, this is show business, if even Gaga is a hit, why not this kid, even imitates Gaga, can show her talent.
